We are so thankful for the wonderful weekend we had at the Great Wolf Lodge this past weekend with Aunt Jen and Uncle Neil. (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) Eli had been home sick from school for three days last week and we were beginning to worry it may cancel our fun trip. But thankfully the clouds parted friday morning and the fever lifted and so did his energy! So late afternoon we loaded into the car and headed to our fun filled wet weekend.
I wish I would have taken more pictures than I did, but our camera isnt water proof and we are known for breaking camera's way to easily so I was very worried about bringing it around with us too much.
There is so much to do at the Great Wolf, that really you never have to leave the lodge for your whole stay. You stay in where its a nice 84 degrees, and look outside where its gloomy and nasty. Its a wonderful place! Here are the boys sitting on the cute little cub statue at the goodie snack shop.

We spent the majority of Saturday at the water park. We all had such a great time, stopping only to eat.

In the kids section there was these cool jet ski's that you could sit on and squirt innocent bystanders...the boys loved these.

They have this game there called Magi Quest. Its a lot of fun, but alot of walking around.... up and down stairs and stairs and stairs....up and down halls...all over the lodge....etc....to find the things you need to finish the quests. We all did it together the first couple times, but come sunday morning Zach and I stayed in the room and let Eli and Daddy run through a bunch. I think they went much faster with their clues not having to wait for Zach and I's slow feet. Had the game run past 10pm Im sure Jake and Neil would have played all night long.
These lilly pads were pretty cool. The very first time Eli tried, he jumped on them and fell right in. He said Daddy tricked him and told him to bounce on them like a frog. So the next time he tried, he did them like a little boy and made it across easy. He was pretty excited about that.
This is the smallest slide in the entire place, its in the little kid section. But for some reason the boys both loved it. They'd run around and slide over and over and over again on it. I think Saturday night Zach did it for a good hour straight, non stop.
I really wanted to get a picture of some of us getting dumped on by the big bucket, but with our camera not being water proof and us having really bad luck with camera's it was a bad idea to even try. So here is the best I could get of the dumping in action. Thats a lot of water, and yeah it feels like it when it hits you.
Like I said, I wish I could have gotten more pictures or videos of how much fun we had here. I really would love to explain how awesome the howlin tornado slide was, but its just something you have to experience to understand. None of the videos on youtube even give it justice. Its one of the coolest and scariest water slides ever. I was very proud of Eli, he went on every single thing the park had to offer and was so brave...maybe even more brave than Mommy was.
Sunday morning Zach woke up coming down with Eli's sickies that he had the previous week. So he stayed in the hotel room with me while I packed up, and Eli and Daddy went on more Magi Quest adventures. Once the room was packed up Daddy relaxed in the lobby with a resting sick Zach while I took Eli in the water park for one last bit of water.
Here we are taking some pictures before heading home. Zach wasnt feeling well and Eli was sad we had to leave, so neither look too happy in the pictures and refused to smile. But behind the sad faces are very exhausted happy boys who spent an entire weekend having a blast in the water. Were definatley going to go back one day!
