AC Gilbert House

Making butter

I decided one day that making butter would be a fun summertime activity for the boys. So while they sat and watched some morning cartoons, they shook the cream until their arms were too tired to shake anymore...then we finished off with the mixer.

and ate our creation on some fresh zuchinni bread.

Zoo trip

The zoo has always and will probably always be one of our favorite places to spend a weekday morning/early afternoon. What would the boys and I do without our trusty zoo membership?

My cute little Zach stoping to pose for the camera.

Every time we attend the zoo I take a picture of the boys on this statue.....blog followers, Im sorry if youre tired of hearing that line over the past years! They were babies in the earlier pictures with us holding them and one of these days soon they are going to be too big to sit on the goats at all.

Dino's are back!!

Is he going to spit on me Mommy?

RUN!!!!

Eli Hayden and Evan reading their maps on where we should go next.

Eli's always up for a good picture...

The bear was so active on this trip. Usually he's fast asleep in his cave, but this time he was up playing. So cute!

Lavendar cookies mmm mmmm

This year our lavendar plant got pretty big, so I was all about trying out new lavendar recipes to make. These cookies are my second favorite, closely following the lavendar fondue in first place.

Lady bugs for our garden.

Marion Forks

Camping at Marion Forks is always so relaxing for us. Its our favorite little place that we always know we'll be able to show up at any time of day last minute and still get a camp spot. Its such a peaceful campground and the kids always have a great time here.

The boys looking for animals in the trees.

Eli sure loves his corn.....and it sure is funny to watch him eat it with no teeth in front!

Little buddies at the fish hatchery.

Jake attempted to catch a little fish at the hatchery and succeeded..one jumped right into his hand!

My handsome little campers.

Happy 8th anniversary to us!

We celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary at home with our two favorite little guys over dinner and a yummy homemade lavendar fondue. I'd say we've created quite a great little life in our 8 years of marriage, here's to 80 more!
