Happy St Patricks Day!
Every year this holiday makes me miss the wonderful trip I took to Ireland with my fantastic husband and his oldest brother Neil. Something about the chipper Irish music and the color green gets me homesick for Ireland. Someday we'll take the boys there, to experience all that is beautiful in the land of the Irish.

Homemade Pasta night
Does this really even need any story attached to the pictures? Homemade pasta, fun for the boys, yummy for our tummies....enough said. YUM!
The Painted Plate
The boys had been asking for months to go to the Painted Plate in Sherwood to paint some pottery. Zach has even gone as far as requesting a pottery birthday party this year. So in an attempt to see if they really would enjoy this for a party, we took advantage of a very wet day when there was no school and headed to Sherwood. Grandma Rena joined us for a fun afternoon of painting, and followed by McDonald's lunch.
They both picked out ice cream bowls to paint. I think this was a secret mission to get me to buy ice cream.

I was really impressed with how much time they took on their bowls, painting them to perfection. So we headed to the store to purchase all the necessities for sundaes!
Glasses
Well, there it is...Eli is now wearing glasses too. His are only for reading up closely, vs Zach needing them all the time. I am learning so much about eye care through my childrens appointments, how much can be corrected and prevented. Hopefully all of this preventative care we are keeping up on will allow my children to have good eye sight for years to come, unlike their blind parents. Well I should say blind Daddy, Mommy had lazik surgery and see's perfectly. Hopefully Eli will only need them for a year or so to strengthen up some eye muscles, but for the time being he's enjoying them. Zachs eyes continue to strengthen as well, we hope that in the next couple of years he will only need them for reading and not all day long.

I will have to take a picture of the boys and Jake together, they look like triplets.

Theres MORE?
Santa spoiled us with our trip to Disney and then he even delivered a few little gifts to our house while we were gone. So the morning after we got home we got to open a few gifts from Santa and the presents from Mommy and Daddy. Books, pillow pets, zhu zhu pets and robes and slippers topped off this amazing Christmas.
