4th of July weekend.

What a fun 4th of July weekend we had this year. Everything about it was just perfect. We started the weekend out at the Hillsboro parade with all the Aunts/Uncles/Cousins for the traditional fun times, then had a potluck with them all at Dave and Paula's house. After that we went up to Rita and Hectors for more yummy food, family time, yard games, fireworks, and camping in the yard.

This year Zach overcame his fear of fireworks...the safe ones we had anyways. He for the first time in his life, sat with us and watched them (vs sitting inside the house with the windows closed and his ears covered to watch), and even held some sparklers! We didnt attempt any big firework shows with him this year though, he was doing so good with the safe quiet ones at Grandma and Grandpas that we didnt want to push him too much.
